Dr. Astrid Morrison
Dr. Astrid Morrison was born and raised in Oklahoma City. After graduating from Casady School in 1982, she attended Duke University for one year. She then transferred to the University of Oklahoma where she earned a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1987. She earned her M.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1991. Her internship was in internal medicine at the OU Health Sciences Center, after which she completed a four-year residency in radiation oncology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St.. Louis, Missouri. She became board certified in Radiation Oncology in 1996, and entered into private practice with Southwest Radiation Oncology in July, 1996. Dr. Morrison treats all types of cancer, but has particular interest in gynecologic oncology, high dose rate brachytherapy and radiosurgery. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, snow skiing and traveling. She is married and has two children.
