Mercy Memorial Cancer Center

Mercy Memorial Cancer Center offers state of the art external beam radiation with a strong community focus. In conjunction with our urologist colleagues, we also offer prostate seed implants. Our accelerator is a dual energy Siemens with multiple electron energies. The current center was opened in October 1997. Three dimensional treatment planning based on high quality CT scans is available for appropriately selected patients. Simulation is performed on our Oldelft simulator. Patient safety is enhanced with our Lantis record and verify system. With the addition of a full time nurse, we are able to offer full service care including intravenous therapy and to closely coordinate care with other physicians, home health agencies, and hospice organizations, dose coordination with the medical oncologists is particularly easy since they occupy the same Cancer Center.
